The 'Arc' Eco Building of the Future

I found this interesting link on yahoo that introduces a new concept in green innovation. It's a house that is part green and part indestructable. Here is the link:

  1. Wow, I think that this is amazing! A house that can be built to float on water, allows plants to grow inside, and can store wind, thermal, and solar energy? I can't even imagine what else the future will be like. Will all of our homes be this way? I just have to worry about the ocean, and about how building too many homes into the waters could cause less homes for the marine life. But, this house has solved so many other ideas, so I'm sure they could figure out a way to solve that one too. Very cool!

  2. Erin, you said "I'm sure they could figure out a way to solve that one too..." Well, why leave it up to "them?" What about you? Couldn't it be you who decides to attack the challenges facing us in the future?

I'm not casting aspersions on you. I could just as easily have said, "what about me? Couldn't it be me who decides to attack the challenges facing us in the future?" My point is that so many of us are well intentioned but have a passive mentality about problems and finding solutions. We sit back and think, "Neat, what will THEY think of next?" "I'm sure THEY'LL solve that problem." But if we're all thinking like that then there is no THEY, is there? Let's become the "they" we find ourselves talking about so often! It's an inspiring and empowering thought.
